We are a classic grass-roots fundraising group in Bakersfield, CA comprised of family and friends of Jerod Laird—a young man who lives his life with Friedreich’s Ataxia. You can read Jerod’s story here. We joined together in 2007 with a primary goal of fervently raising dollars to fund research for Jerod and all others suffering with Friedreich’s Ataxia. In our years of event planning and fundraising, we have met many wonderful individuals throughout Bakersfield and beyond with Friedreich’s Ataxia who we now call friends. Our mission is to see these friends and Jerod, along with many other Americans diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia, to be free of this debilitating disease and all its symptoms. Together we can find a cure!
